- Describe your intended idea:
- How is your project a learning stretch?
- Why does it appeal to you and how will it maintain your interest for 6-8 months?
- What preliminary research have you done AND what have you learned from your research? (i.e. training, costs, locations, materials, potential problems, equipment…)
- What 8 – 10 (beyond the surface) “Need to Knows” do you have to complete the project?
2. When I do my presentation at the end, who will be there?
3. When I do my presentation at the end, will we be watching my whole movie?
- How do you visualize your final product? Describe your final product to the best of your ability with the research you have done. Attach sketches if applicable.
II. Info dump, a bunch of information voiceover over examples, hook the viewer

IV. Interviews with patients of both natural and traditional professions/ patients, stories, statistics, unbiased facts
V. Traves scenes, exploring medicine outside of America

- What are your total expenses and how will you pay for your expenses? Attach a detailed cost sheet (this is required). Parental verification of expenses is also required.
- List all equipment you anticipate needing; how will you get that equipment? (video cameras, recorders, editing equipment, tools, software, jacks, scuba tanks, etc.)
- Camera
- Microphone
- Editing equipment
- Pills (prop pills not real ones)
- Dissection kit
- Fake blood
- Lights
- Tools (hammer)
- Place to film
- Sheep's heart/ brain (or pig)
- Computer
- Access to information
- Access to hospitals
- Access to medical professionals
- Access to people to interview
- How will you transport yourself to meet with mentor, interview, etc?
- Estimated time to complete the product? Show a detailed breakdown of estimated time required in order to complete your project. This will take research. (Remember your senior project must show at least 30 hours of field work.)
- Research: it’s hard to tell, but I would estimate anywhere between 20-30 hours
- Filming: between finding people, setting up, test films, outtakes, actual material, and extra material, I would say around 50 hours
- Editing: this will probably take the longest, depending on the length of the film, but I would assume between first and final drafts, 80 hours
- Create a calendar. Consider using a Google Calendar and sharing it with Biggs; please.
- What part of the project will be the most challenging to you, what problems can you anticipate, and how will you address the challenges/problems?
- Where will you find a mentor? List in detail potential mentors and why.
Potential Mentors and contact information:
1: My future intern
2: Someone my intern recommends
3: My family doctor
I hope to learn:
I hope to learn more about the field I’m planning on going into. I want to become well informed about the different natural remedies that are effectively used in medicine, and about the many snake oils of such a practice. I also hope to get a broader understanding of medicine as a whole and will hopefully come out of the project with an excellent final product.
