I am from space
From vastly deepening and booming bursts of violent tones
I am from the sea
Sleeping wrapped in rip tide sheets and swaying with curling currents
I am from the sky
kissing the sun through the incurable cracks in the clouds
I love the moon and she loves me back
I am from green eyes and gaping smiles
From everyone i know and everyone i don’t
I am from lack of sleep and indigo auras and and anxiously chewing fingertips
I am from crystals dangling in window sills, from never staying still and up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky
I am from shabbat shalom
I am from England and Israel and family dinners
I am from myself
Traveling country to country collecting pictures of people I know and people I don't, art I see and food I eat, sugar packets from gas stations, bus tickets, receipts from coffee shops, and stones from the sea
Wearing each story on my skin.
