I had the idea of making an emergency bag that would contain the means to disinfect, wrap wounds, stitch cuts, and meet other basic medical needs that could potentially be life threatening. These emergency supply bags are ideal because they can be given to a wide spread of people, they can be easily transported, they can save lives, they are fairly inexpensive when materials are bought in bulk, and they help provide the basic human need of health. The bags could be customizable depending on location and what illnesses are present for the region, the beauty of them is they can be sent anywhere. Unlike other first aid kits, this would be ideal for poor places that have little or no access to basic medical supplies. If, for example, we made 100 bags, we could order the supplies in bulk from medicalwholesale.com, and put them together in class. The price would differ depending on the amount of material we buy, the more bags we make, the cheaper the supplies. After making the bags, all we would have to do is send them to places lacking basic medical care and they would begin helping people instantly.
Ideas for supplies to go in the bag:

1 adhesive cloth tape (10 yards x 1 inch)
5 antibiotic ointment packets (approximately 1 gram)
5 antiseptic wipe packets
3 packets of aspirin (81 mg each)
1 blanket (space blanket)
2 instant cold compress
2 pair of non-latex gloves (size: large)
Scissors
2 roller bandage (4 inches wide)
5 sterile gauze pads (4 x 4 inches)
