My favorite book is the Fault in Our Stars by John Green. The novel is narrated by a cancer patient named Hazel, who is forced by her parents to attend a cancer support group, where she meets and falls in love with Augustus Waters, an amputee. This reminded me of the musical Rent, which is centered around AIDS rather than cancer. I recently learned the reason John Green decided to name the main character Hazel, he chose the name Hazel because hazel is an in between color and Hazel is an in between girl, the color being in between brown and green and the girl being in between sickness and health. I also learnt Augustus's last name is Waters, which represents the water inside of Hazels lungs when she is sick. Overall, this is a deeply touching book which I could recommend to anyone.
