- How can you prevent getting injured while exercising? What can you do beforehand? (1-2 paragraphs)
- What should you do if you do get injured (ex. Pulling or straining a muscle, twisting an ankle, etc.) (1-2 paragraphs)
I have had my fair share of sports related injuries, so, I know what to do in the event of an accident. If I’m using a machine and accidentally get cut, I will use my towel to stop the bleeding and apply a bandage. If it isn’t too bad, I don’t see any reason to stop the workout. Obviously if I am in pain or if it is in an inconvenient area then I will stop for the day. If I was to pull a muscle, I would go home and apply some sort of Tiger Balm or Icy Hot to the area and attempt not to further worsen it. Then, after a week or so, or until I feel better, I can go to the chiropractor and make sure my spine is aligned and in the best shape for exercise. Finally, generally, in the event of any exercise related injury, the best course of action is to take it easy for a while. Them, next time I find myself on the same machine, I will proceed with caution so I can figure out what I did to injure myself last time, and hopefully avoid it next time.
