In Art 4, I proposed a semester long art concentration in which the final product would be a series of 6 art pieces. Each piece would be a different medium and style, but all would have the common theme of "emotion." Through this concentration, I expanded upon my abilities and learned new artistic techniques.
Proposal:
The in depth study I want to focus on for my concentration is the subject of emotion and color. I will study the way a variety of human faces look when crying, reflecting, thinking, and grieving, then replicate the expressions through several different media. I like to utilize multiple mediums in my art, for this concentration I will use a combination of watercolor, acrylic, pen/colored pencil, and collage. Tone and color will work well to add symbolism to my set of pieces, I can use cool colors to express the depth of emotion or warm colors to express change and growth.
